Ty the Portrait Guy earns that moniker. The Guy really knows his stuff and a photo shoot with him was not only a thrilling and rewarding experience after the fact, when I’m scrolling through 80 some photos, edited with extreme care, trying desperately to find the right ones to post to social media (when all are so well composed), but his knowledge of the craft bled through the work, teaching me a great deal about how I can pose and feel my truest self for the next photoshoot I’m sure to book Tyrus for. He’s patient, direct, and efficient, everything you could want from a photographer. I didn’t feel like I was waiting at all before the photos got right back to me after the shoot, and I was floored by the quality of it all. Tyrus Xanthos is a truly incredible photographer. Mr. Xanthos took my author headshot and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. He worked with me before the shoot to determine what I was looking for and even asked to review some of my work so he could better understand what I was hoping to get across with the work as a whole. I usually feel awkward in front of a camera, but Mr. Xanthos knew how make the experience comfortable and also really fun. The photos themselves were absolutely stunning. Thank you Tyrus!!
I’ve never had photos taken before but Tyrus made me feel comfortable and after some coaching it was easy. Our session was a blast and my photos came out beautifully!!

Tyrus has done a few photoshoots for my family/friends and myself including our annual New Year’s Eve party, and every time we are impressed with the quality of photo/editing and his ability to draw life out of his photos. Highly recommend him!
Amazing experience! Usually not the most comfortable in front of a camera, however with Tyrus I felt super comfortable and he really captured the best of me in each photo. Would definitely recommend!!!
